Call Meeting to Order

DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1.	Elect Board Chair for 2009?
2.	Review of notes from Board Meeting November 5, 2008.
3.	Presentation of concerns by Rust Coin. Representing the industry. Allotted time 10 minutes.
4.	Next training session. January 29, 2008, Salt Lake City Police Department, Pioneer substation. 
5.	Update on the RFP (Request for Proposal). Contract remains the same. Utah County.
6.	Training objectives in 2009?  Subjects and areas of concern? Suggested presenters and/or subjects?
	a. Emphasis on Law Enforcement contacting shops and working with compliance issues. 
	b. Shops properly downloading to the database. 
	c. Checking the database for those shops not downloading. LE to follow-up with shop.	 
7.	Report from the database. Search parameters, all areas are not displaying on searches. Examples: SLCPD Case: Fashion ring- no indication of gold content, stones in rings, size, or other descriptors. All descriptors are shown on the pawn card but not searchable on database. The statute needs to be followed on search areas. What is the database doing to resolve the issue?
8. 	Enforcement of the training requirement. 
9.	What may be done to assist LE to meet the requirements of this Act?
10.	Update report from the database on the issue of proper input of serial numbers to the database and submission to NCIC. i.e. dashes in the serial numbers submitted. Resolved or not?
11. Suggestions for replacement of Board Members not attending the Board meetings.
12. Next Board Meeting Date?
13.	Meeting adjourned.
