Call Meeting to Order

DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1.	Next training session. November 13, 2008, St. George City Police Department, Sponsor contacted? Location announced on the database? 
2.	Suggested changes or adjustments to the Act? Verbiage changes were suggested to the Director by Investigator Jentzsch. i.e. inclusive language for secondhand businesses. Examples will be given. 
3.	Update on the RFP (Request for Proposal).  
4.	Update on the Rules and Exemptions process? Once that the Rules and Exemptions are established, registration letters will be issued to those affected. 
5.	What are some of the issues for the future? Reasons and justifications. These suggestions will be forwarded through the Director and Legislature for consideration. 
6.	Suggestions for training objectives in 2009?  Subjects and areas of concern? Suggested presenters and/or subjects? 
7.	Training completion certificates. Issued when the training year has ended. These should be sent when the registration renewal letters are issued. 
8.	Training dates and locations for 2009. Decisions are to be made and posted for the 2009 year on the database, allowing shops and LE to plan ahead.
9. 	Enforcement of the training requirement. 
10.	Enforcement of the requirement to download to the database each day/report to LE if not done within three days. 
11.	What may be done to assist LE to meet the requirements of this Act?
12.	Update from the database on the issue of proper input of serial numbers to the database and submission to NCIC. i.e. dashes in the serial numbers submitted. Resolved or not?
13.	Meeting adjourned.
