NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a petition for annexation has been filed with Layton City for approximately 3.135 acres of property located at approximately 1868 West 1000 South. The Layton City Council received notice of certification of the annexation petition on October 6, 2016.
The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the Layton City Community and Economic Development Office, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah. The Layton City Council may grant the petition and annex the above described area unless written protest is filed with the Davis County Boundary Commission, 28 East State Street, Room 221, (P.O. Box 618), Farmington, Utah, 84025. A copy of the protest shall also be delivered to the Layton City Recorder, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah, 84041.
The deadline for filing protest regarding this annexation petition is 5:00 p.m., November 7, 2016. A protest may be filed by the legislative body or governing body of an affected entity. If no protests are filed, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the annexation request on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the Layton City Council Chambers, 437 North Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah.
