2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE UPDATED STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (SWMP) PLAN FOR CLEARFIELD CITY
BACKGROUND: In April 2003 Clearfield City adopted a Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) Plan as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Utah State Division of Water Quality to be in compliance with the Clean Water Act. Periodically EPA requires the State and cities to adopt the new updated requirements. The changes proposed in the updated Storm Water Management Program Plan should satisfy the new requirements of the Clean Water Act. Clearfield City last updated its Storm Water Management Program Plan in April 2011.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the updated Storm Water Management Program Plan and authorize the Mayor's signature to any necessary documents.
