Notice of Intent to Amend the Sandy City Land Development Code
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Sandy City, Utah intends to prepare a proposed amendment to the Sandy City Land Development Code. The proposed Code Amendment will consider the following: Amend Title 15A, Chapters 15, Sensitive Area Overlay Zone, 20, Residential Development Standards, 23, Commercial, Office, Industrial,& Transit Corridor Development Standards, 27, Grading & Excavating, 30, Subdivision Review, 32, Site Plan Review, Land Development Code, Revised Ordinances of Sandy City, 2008. The purpose of the Code Amendment is to add language regarding Sandy City Utah Pollution Discharge Elimination System (UPDES). These changes will identify what construction work will require a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and that a submittal and approval of a SWPPP is required prior to plan approvals and permits. These changes will also encourage a Low Impact Development approach for new development in the City.
These proposed Code Amendments will be heard in a public hearing that will be held in the Sandy City Hall, Council Chambers, 10000 Centennial Parkway (170 West), Sandy, Utah, before the Sandy City Planning Commission on June 4, 2015 at approximately 6:15 pm.
The before mentioned amendments (Title 15A), along with amendments to Title 13 - Streets and Public Improvements, and Title 17 - Storm Water Ordinance will also be heard in a public hearing that will be held in the Sandy City Hall, Council Chambers, 10000 Centennial Parkway (170 West), Sandy, Utah, before the Sandy City Council on June 16, 2015 at approximately 7:05 pm.
