NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Farmington City has received a petition from Jerry Preston, et. al., proposing the annexation of approximately 20.0 acres of unincorporated territory in Davis County located east of 200 East between 100 North and 400 North Streets. Said petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Farmington City Recorder located at 160 South Main Street, Farmington, Utah. The area proposed for annexation is contiguous to the Farmington City limits. The Farmington City Recorder certified that the petition met requirements for annexation as set forth in State Law and provided notice of certification to the Farmington City Council on May 7th 2015. Under the laws of the State of Utah, Farmington City may grant the Petition and annex the area described in the Petition unless a written protest is timely filed with the Davis County Boundary Commission and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Farmington City Recorder. All protests to this Petition shall be filed by June 6, 2015, at the office of the Davis County Boundary Commission located at 61 South Main Street, Farmington, Utah, 84025, or the protest shall be of no effect. A protest to the Annexation Petition may be filed with the Commission by property owners if it contains the signatures of the owners of private real property that is located in the unincorporated area within one-half mile of the area proposed for annexation, covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area within one-half mile of the area proposed for annexation, and it is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within one-half mile of the area proposed for annexation.
