- PUBLIC NOTICE Clinton City Council Vacancy Clinton City hereby gives notice of a City Council seat vacancy for a term ending December 31, 2015. Qualified residents who wish to be considered for this vacant Council seat must complete an application and submit it to the City Manager's Office by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015. A candidate for City Council must: 1. Be a registered voter; 2. Have resided within Clinton City for the 12 consecutive months immediately preceding this appointment; and, 3. Not have been convicted of treason or a felony and lost the right to vote. An application is available at Clinton City Hall 2267 N 1500 W; on the Clinton City website at www.clintoncity.com in addition to being attached at the bottom of this notice. Interviews of qualified applicants will take place during a public City Council meeting on February 24, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall 2267 N 1500 W. The City Council plans to appoint an applicant to the vacant City Council Seat at the end of the interview process. In the event the appointee wishes to remain a member of the City Council, they will need to file as a City Council candidate for the 2015 Municipal Election. Information regarding the 2015 Municipal Election is on the Clinton City website at www.clintoncity.com or at City Hall.
