ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS:

APPOINTMENTS:
8:15 a.m. – Discussion regarding CSDB security issues and approval of DOPL CSDB presentation for 2 hours of live continuing education – Tom Harper
9:00 a.m. – Mary Jo Cates, probation interview
9:20 a.m. – Sheryl Ledet, probation interview
9:40 a.m. – J. Michael Hodges, probation interview
10:00 a.m. – Jennica Bringhurst, probation interview
10:30 a.m. – Scott Dale Harris (new Order) probation interview
LUNCH: 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
1:00 p.m. – Rosie Koehler – discuss changes to the pharmacy technician programs at ALTATC and SLCC due to passage of H.B. 15.
1:30 p.m. - Richard Rasmuson – discussion regarding prescription and compounding for office use.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
-Rules draft of proposed Rule changes regarding temporary licensure and Pharmacist supervisory ratio.
-Determine areas in Rule that need to be reviewed for changes.
-Kami Creer – Request early termination of probation.
-Review Thomas Strebel’s proposed practice plan.
-Discuss practice question regarding using non-FDA approved ingredients or drugs that are not part of a FDA approved drug listed in the approved drug products.
-Discuss practice question regarding the use of tele pharmacy in an urban area, and as a tool to supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
-Request for volunteers to sit on panel to review proposals for online prescribing.
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM APPROVAL REQUESTS:
-Gatlin Education Services Pharmacy Technician Program to Mr. Cortes for review.
-Smith Drug Company submitted additional information as requested, to Mr. Cortes for review.
- Granite Technical Institute Pharmacy Technician
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING:
Next meeting – May 26, 2009
