Governor’s Office Transition
Module
10/28/2003
The Office of the Governor begins a nine-day-transition period
now that Gov. Mike Leavitt is confirmed to lead the United
States Environmental Protection Agency. The transition will
culminate with a farewell address and inauguration next week.
The guiding principle for this transitionary time is extensive
collaboration between the Governor and Lt. Governor on major
decisions. This includes appointments to boards and commissions,
budget deliberations, executive orders and all policy matters.
