| In Gov. Mike Leavitt’s first inaugural address
he laid out a vision to create opportunity and improve
the quality of life in Utah. He identified five areas
of focus that serve as a guide to the Leavitt Administration:
- Continual progress in education.
- Creation of high-quality jobs.
- Protection of life quality.
- Fostering of self-reliance and care for those in
need.
- More efficient government.
In keeping with these priorities, Gov. Leavitt has
launched a variety of initiatives that have made Utah
