Exelis Aerostructures to host midpoint celebration of 100,000 Jobs in 1,000 Days
What: In January 2012, Governor Gary R. Herbert issued the challenge to the private sector to create 100,000 jobs in 1,000 days. On Thursday, June 27, 2013, the Governor will announce the midpoint job numbers and what is left to accomplish the goal. In addition, Exelis acts as a prime example of how and why job growth has been so successful in Utah.
Why: The private sector has reached the midpoint for the 100,000 jobs in 1,000 days goal. The current numbers show Utah is ahead of schedule in reaching the goal. This celebration will highlight the people and companies behind the numbers.
