News Release
September 07, 2005

Camp Williams, Utah * Two buses are currently scheduled to pick up evacuees at 5 p.m. at the Readiness Center. Both buses are headed for Dallas, Texas.

From 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Greyhound representatives handed out vouchers at the Readiness Center. Approximately 280 evacuees initially signed up for vouchers prior to today. As of 3 p.m., only 90 had actually obtained vouchers.

Both buses will also stop in Denver, Colorado.

Relocation requests, other than Dallas, are also being scheduled. Transportation has been scheduled to take four evacuees to the Greyhound bus station in Salt Lake City to board those specific buses, bound for other locations.

Evacuees leaving Camp Williams will be given $150 to the head of household and $75 for each dependent. The cost of transportation will be provided by the State of Utah, which hopes to be reimbursed by FEMA.
