SALT LAKE CITY - Yesterday, Governor Gary R. Herbert and First Lady Jeanette Herbert unveiled the 2011 Holiday theme for the Governor's Mansion: "The Music of Christmas."

"Gary and I are pleased to open our home to you this holiday season. The decorations at the Governor's Mansion are for all to enjoy," the First Lady said.

"The holiday season for me revolves around the family - and, by extension, the home," said Governor Herbert. "I am grateful for my wife, Jeanette, who makes our home a warm and inviting place to be year-round, and especially at Christmas.

Dressing the Governor's Mansion for Christmas is an annual tradition. This year's theme, "The Music of Christmas," is carried throughout the Mansion as each room articulates a different Christmas carol, including: "Deck the Halls," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," "Frosty the Snowman," and more.

The Governor's Mansion is open for public tours during the holiday season, 2-4 p.m.,
Tuesdays and Thursdays, December 1-22.
