SALT LAKE CITY*Just after 7 p.m. this evening, more than 150 hurricane evacuees stepped off of a JetBlue flight at the Utah National Guard Airbase.

"We are pleased to finally be a refuge and a new home for some of the hurricane evacuees from Louisiana," said Governor Huntsman. The coordinated effort on the ground of all participating agencies has been outstanding and truly exhibits the selfless nature of our community."

It is anticipated JetBlue will continue to fly hurricane evacuees to the State of Utah over the next several days.
