Hurricane Katrina Evacuee Facts for Utah

SALT LAKE CITY*Six hurricane evacuee facts specific to the State of Utah are as follows:

- Five buses are waiting at the airport to take evacuees to Camp Williams.

- Four crisis counselors are available at the airport and eight more are at Camp Williams to assist evacuees.

- Ministers from various denominations will be at the airport as people arrive.

- The Katrina Relief line had received more than 4,250 calls offering assistance by 4 p.m. Saturday.

- Medical professionals are stationed at the airport and Camp Williams to meet immediate health needs.

- Preliminary information indicates that the first airplane scheduled to land in Salt Lake City includes 30 people over 65 years, at least 10 children and 15 individuals using wheelchairs.
