Governor Announces Major Business Expansion

Company will be adding thousands of jobs over the next few years

Who: Governor Gary R. Herbert, along with the Board of the Governor's Office of Economic Development

Where: Capitol Board Room, rm. 240, east end of State Capitol, main floor

When: TODAY, June 9, 2011, at 3:30 p.m.

What: The Governor, in conjunction with the Board of the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), will announce a significant job expansion in Utah, bringing several thousand jobs over the coming years.

Relevance: Utah has benefited from a growing economy in many business sectors, and that growth is accelerating as Utah's economy gains strength. With Utah's current unemployment rate at 7.4%, the Governor will address how Utah has targeted business growth and expansion.
