Governor Huntsman Forwards Nominees to the State Senate

Salt Lake City, Utah * Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., has forwarded the following nominees to the Utah State Senate for confirmation:

Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission:

* Mary Ann Mantes is reappointed as a member of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, a term to expire July 1, 2009.
* Kathryn O. Balmforth is appointed to replace Ted Lewis as a member of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission, a term to expire July 1, 2009.

Real Estate Commission:

* Doyle C. (Sam) Samson is appointed to replace Gage Froerer as a member of the Real Estate Commission, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Transportation Commission: * Bevan Wilson is reappointed as a member of the Transportation Commission, a term to expire April 1, 2011.
* Kent Millington is appointed to replace Hal Clyde as a member of the Transportation Commission, a term to expire April 1, 2011.

Utah Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool Board of Directors:

* Elizabeth Hunter is reappointed as a member of the Utah Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool Board of Directors, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Utah State Retirement Board:

* Phillip W. Clinger is reappointed as a member of the Utah State Retirement Board, a term to expire July 1, 2009.
* Kathy Jones-Price is reappointed as a member of the Utah State Retirement Board, a term to expire July 1, 2009.
* John Lunt is reappointed as a member of the Utah State Retirement Board, a term to expire July 1, 2009.

State Board of Regents:

* James S. Jardine is reappointed as a member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011.
* Jerry C. Atkin is reappointed as a member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011.
* Michael Jensen is reappointed as a member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011. See Utah Code Ann. * 53B-1-104. Mr. Jensen is a Democrat.
* Rosinita Cespedes is appointed to replace Maria Sweeten as a member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011.
* Josh Reid is appointed to replace George Mantes as a member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011.
* Gabriela Bradford is appointed to replace Trenton Kemp as the student member of the State Board of Regents, a term to expire June 30, 2011.

Dixie State College Board of Trustees:

* D. Williams Ronnow is reappointed as a member of the Dixie State College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Vicki Wilson is reappointed as a member of the Dixie State College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Reuben Joseph (R.J.) Snow is appointed to replace Robert Moore as a member of the Dixie State College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Steven G. Caplin is appointed to replace Royce Jones as a member of the Dixie State College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees:

* Peter R. Genereaux is reappointed as a member of the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Gail Miller is reappointed as a member of the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Jesselie Barlow Anderson is reappointed as a member of the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* David G. Thomas is reappointed as a member of the Salt Lake Community College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Snow College Board of Trustees:

* Timothy M. Blackham is reappointed as a member of the Snow College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Eddie L. Cox is appointed to replace Kay Greene as a member of the Snow College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Theressa L. Alder is appointed to replace Gwen McGarry as a member of the Snow College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Mary Greathouse is appointed to replace Scott Wyatt as a member of the Snow College Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Southern Utah University Board of Trustees:

* David H. Jeppson is reappointed as a member of the Southern Utah University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Dane O. Leavitt is reappointed as a member of the Southern Utah University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Renn Zaphiropoulos is appointed to replace John Yardley as a member of the Southern Utah University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Gayle L. Pollock is appointed to replace Jeff Wright as a member of the Southern Utah University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Utah State University Board of Trustees:

* Lynnette Thorne Hansen is reappointed as a member of the Utah State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Robert Lynn Foley is appointed to replace Linda Eyre as a member of the Utah State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Douglas D. Anderson is appointed to replace Gayle F. McKeachnie as a member of the Utah State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Douglas S. Foxley is appointed to replace Dinesh Patel as a member of the Utah State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.

Weber State University Board of Trustees:

* Catherine Ortega is reappointed as a member of the Weber State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Kathryn Lindquist is appointed to replace Jane Brewer as a member of the Weber State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Jerry Stevenson is appointed to replace Dan James as a member of the Weber State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
* Jim C. Beardall is appointed to replace Jewel Kenley as a member of the Weber State University Board of Trustees, a term to expire June 30, 2009.
