Governor Huntsman Travels to Mexico

Salt Lake City, Utah - Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. will travel to Mexico to meet with President Vincente Fox July 13th. Chris Roybal, Sr. Advisor for Economic Development will travel with the Governor, leaving Monday, July 11th and returning Thursday, July 14th.

"One of the reasons for visiting with President Fox is to discuss economic development opportunities between Mexico and Utah," said Governor Huntsman. "I also plan to extend an invitation to President Fox to continue these discussions in Utah."

In addition, there will be discussions on increasing commerce/trade and investments between Utah and Mexico.

Governor Huntsman and Roybal will meet with several corporate and political dignitaries. They are also tentatively scheduled to meet with U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Antonio O. Garza, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Dr. Luis Ernesto Derbez, Chairman of Group Carso Mr. Carlos Slim, Official of the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, Secretary of Economy Mr. Fernando Canales and the Minister of Travel and Tourism.
