Salt Lake City - Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert has appointed Sherene Terry Dillon to the Second District Juvenile Court, which serves Davis, Morgan and Weber counties.

Dillon is presently with the State of Utah's Office of the Guardian Ad Litem, where she represents the interests of children in juvenile court. Her portfolio includes neglect, abuse and dependency petitions, as well as emancipation requests, child protective orders and parental termination cases.
Previously, Dillon was a private practitioner from 1986 to 1994, spending a number of those years with Kirton, McConkie and Poelman. She received her Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Communicative Disorders from Brigham Young University, and a Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law.
Dillon is married and the mother of three children. Judicial appointments are subject to confirmation by the Utah State Senate.
