Governor Appoints New Member to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission

SALT LAKE CITY - Governor Gary R. Herbert has appointed Kathleen McConkie Collinwood to serve on the state's five-member Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
"Kathleen has a history of public service and involvement in her community," Governor Herbert said. "I trust that her excellent judgment and dedication to the State of Utah will serve the Commission well."
Collinwood is an attorney in private practice in Bountiful. Her general litigation practice includes domestic law, personal injury, worker's compensation, employment discrimination and criminal defense.
Collinwood has a juris doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in Saint Paul, Minn., and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. She is a former candidate for U.S. Congress and Davis County Commissioner, and a member of the League of Women Voters and Concerned Citizens of Bountiful.
The Governor's appointment is subject to confirmation by the Utah Senate.
