Governor Huntsman Orders State Flags Lowered to Half-StaffNews Release

Salt Lake City, Utah -- Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. has ordered the lowering of flags to half-staff on all state government properties on Thursday, April 21, 2005, in honor of two fallen Utah soldiers. Governor Huntsman sends his heartfelt condolences to the family of S. Sergeant Patrick Ryan "Tico" Pentico who died on March 31, 2005, while serving in the Air Force in Afghanistan, and also to the family of Private First Class Philip Marc Christensen, who was killed during a training session in Fort Riley, Kansas. Private Christensen recently returned from a year of duty in Iraq. "We need to pay tribute to, and thank these soldiers, and the thousands of other soldiers who are serving our country to preserve the freedoms we enjoy," said Governor Huntsman.
