Governor Huntsman To Visit Flooded Areas in Southern Utah

Who: Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr.

What: Governor Huntsman will visit the areas of Southern Utah, flooded by the recent rain and snow.

The Governor will visit with flood victims and assist in sandbagging efforts.

When: 11:30 a.m. Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11, 2005

Where: The Southern Utah areas that are experiencing flooding as a result of the recent rain and snow.

Why: A State of Emergency has been declared by Washington County as a result of the flooding. More rain and another 'surge' of water are anticipated to hit the already flood-soaked areas Tuesday afternoon.
