Bag of Hope
The "Bag of Hope" program was established by Mary Kaye Huntsman and her daughter Liddy in 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was adopted by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
and is now a nationwide effort to help children cope emotionally with the diagnosis of juvenile diabetes. This is a kid-to-kid, heart-to-heart way of letting the newly diagnosed patients
know they are not alone.
