What cancer screening service does the Utah Department of Health offer?
Through Utah's Local Health Departments, the Utah Department of Health offers free breast and cervical cancer screening to qualifying women ages 50-64. For screening locations and qualifications call 1-800-717-1811 or visit http://www.utahcancer.org/services_provided\pdf_files\UCCPBrochureSpan.pdf

The Utah Department of Health offers Fecal Occult Blood Tests (FOBT) for individuals who cannot afford to pay for (or do not want) a Sigmoidoscopy or a Colonoscopy to screen for colon cancer. Here is a fact sheet on colon cancer and the type of screenings available for the disease.

To order a free FOBT kit, with instructions in Spanish, please call 1-888-222-2542. Results are read at no cost by one of two labs that donate their services. It is the individual????????s responsibility to follow up with the lab on their results.

There is no program through Utah Department of Health to pay for the cost of colon cancer treatment or for any kind of screening tests beside FOBT.
