System Benefits
The SCR system provides a single, centralized resource for information and data on all construction projects in the state of Utah. Since there are a variety of people and businesses that are associated and concerned with construction projects, any registered party can access and utilize the SCR system, including:
-
Attorneys representing parties involved with a project can utilize the SCR system to access project and filing information to determine if and when a filing was completed. Complete filing details are available on a project's Filing Detail page, which allows attorneys to determine if sufficient and accurate information was provided within the required timelines.
-
Lenders & Title Companies are also able to access a project's Filing Detail page to review the list of all parties that hold lien rights. Complete participant information aids lenders and title companies in their efforts to insure a property remains lien free.
The SCR "Notifications" functionality was designed to provide interested parties with automated notifications and access to filing details. Completing the Notifications form allows interested parties to access a project's filing detail page, as well as receive email alerts when preliminary notices (or any other type of filing) are filed. Additionally, completing the Notifications form moves a project to the "My Projects" area of the Project Tracker, thereby enabling registered users to access the "Filings Details" page for that project.
There are four steps required for utilizing the Notifications functionality:
- Register with the SCR. (Begin the registration process)
- Using the Advanced Search functionality, search for your project of interest.
- After finding your project on the search results page, click the "Notifications" button located next to the project name.
- Complete the notifications form and the associated payment process.
